In this inspection, you can see the base of these steel posts has significant rusting. Two posts are rusted all the way through and not actually supporting any weight. These are 3 of 6 posts holding up the front porch and stairs. Whilst walking on the porch and top steps they actually lowered under our weight, an event that can cause a building catastrophe. Not only is this a major defect but also a major safety hazard that required immediate sectioning off until the hazard was rectified.
