What we collect
When you book an inspection or send an enquiry, we receive the details you enter in the form. Depending on the form, these can include:
- your name, phone number and email address
- the address of the property to be inspected, and your postal address
- the inspection or service you choose, your preferred date or time, and any notes or access details you add, such as lockbox codes, tenant details or pets
- your agent's and your solicitor's or conveyancer's names and contact details, if you give them for a pre-purchase inspection
- how you heard about us, and your message
With your form, the website also sends how you found us: the page you first landed on, the website that referred you, and any campaign or ad tags in the link you followed. Your browser keeps this in its session storage until you close the tab.
How we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, book and carry out your inspection or service, send your report and invoice, and speak with your agent or conveyancer where you have given us their details.
Where it goes
Your form goes to our enquiry system, which stores it and emails it to us. Our website and enquiry system are provided by Fleet Pages, a service of Jezweb, and run on Cloudflare's network. Submissions are checked for spam, which can include a security check by Cloudflare Turnstile.
We may share your details with people involved in your inspection, such as the agent or conveyancer you name, or where the law requires it.
Website statistics and error reports
The website counts page visits: the page viewed, the website you came from, your country, and whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer. This count does not use cookies or record your IP address. If part of a page fails to work, your browser sends a short error report (the page address and the error) so it can be fixed.
Cookies and other websites
Our website does not set its own cookies for visitors. Cloudflare may set a security cookie. The Facebook panel at the foot of each page is loaded from Facebook, which may set its own cookies or collect information under its own privacy policy. Links to other websites, such as Facebook and Google Maps, are covered by those websites' own policies.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Cloudflare runs a worldwide network, so your information may be processed outside Australia.
Seeing or correcting your information
